This carnivorous dinosaur is a surprisingly social species, so get your enclosures ready to accommodate a few of them! I guess it's something you'd love if you're a Jurassic Park super fan or just love looking at dinosaurs, but if you're hoping for a park building game with some depth, I'd avoid this.īelieved to have lived during the early Cretaceous period in what is now Liaoning Province, the Yutyrannus is striking and powerful. I really don't get what people see in this game. It's like if you took Planet Zoo and removed all complexity and just made it an animal viewing game. The dinosaurs look pretty neat but that's the best thing I can say about it. It's the most dull park game I've ever played. The rest is just plopping repetitive facilities down, hiring scientists to research new stuff, and sending those scientists to little points on a map where they find new dinosaurs. Sometimes the dinosaurs break out and you have to tranquilize them again and repair their enclosures. This involves about 15 seconds of painting terrain and plants and then you're done. Then you inspect the dinosaur and it will tell you what type of foliage, water, and food it needs. The enclosures are just fences and nothing else. It works like this - you might have a mission where a dinosaur is roaming around, so you drive a little truck out, click on the dinosaur to shoot it with tranq darts, and then you fly it back to an enclosure. I've played a lot of park building games and this one is by far the most basic I've ever played. I really don't understand the positive reviews.
